Hundreds of thousands of people in our country either do not have permanent housing or are vulnerable to losing it. For some people, it’s temporary – for others, it’s a life sentence. Homelessness affects those most powerless in our society. And these people have become invisible to us. We prefer not to see them. We prefer not to see their plight.
